In this study, we conducted transcriptome sequencing of muscle, liver, and brain tissues from rock carp with different growth rates using the Illumina HiSeqTM PE250 high-throughput sequencing platform. Functional genes related to growth were identified through GO enrichment and KEGG pathway analysis, and the reasons for slow growth in rock carp were explained. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of the growth control mechanism of rock carp and provides a scientific basis for efficient breeding and species improvement
