Though several Eimeria tenella dense granule proteins have been identified, little is known about their functional properties.Eimeria species are obligate intracellular apicomplexan protistsis, which have been found in poultry, rabbits and other animals. Coccidiosis is considered as an economically significant disease of the poultry industry. Of which, Eimeria tenella is one of the most pathogenic and widely studied species.To determine the biological function of E. tenella dense granule protein 9 (EtGRA9), then to construct a recombinant vector. Afterwards, transcriptomic responses of the leghorn male hepatoma (LMH) cells transfected with the recombinant vector or empty vector was examined.
