资源简介:
This replication file accompanies a study examining how insurgency in one country can exacerbate social conflict in a neighboring state, using the 2015 Burkina Faso insurgency and its effects on northern Ghana as a case. The analysis draws on a mixed-methods design that integrates synthetic control models, fixed-effects panel regressions, and fieldwork conducted across multiple Ghanaian communities. The replication materials allow users to reproduce core results and robustness checks related to two empirically supported cross-border pathways: resource-seeking insurgent behavior and conflict spillovers due to diverted security presence. The study highlights the importance of accounting for interactions between different forms of violence across borders in global conflict research.
