This series contains records created by staff at the Sydney Observatory relating to the Standard Co-ordinates of Standard Stars. Such co-ordinates are a reference system used to define the positions of objects in the celestial sphere. The equatorial co-ordinate system is the most common for astronomical observations and is an extension of the latitude and longitude co-ordinate system used for Earth.
