CYP2D6 is an important pharmacogene involving in 25% of commonly prescribed medicine including Malaria treatment. CYP2D6 genotype could be utilized to adjust dosage and improve treatment outcome. Standard human sample and Thai samples are sequenced using nanopore to understand CYP2D6 variation in Karen population.
