Sequencing French local chicken breeds

This study is aimed at analysing the trends in genome diversity of small populations under a conservation program, in the case of two French chicken breeds. The samples come from the INRAE @BRIDGe biobank and were obtained from farms and a breeding center in France, either in 2003 or in 2013, thus 10 generations apart. There are 14 or 15 animals per breed per generation. Both males and females have been sequenced by INRAE GetPlaGe facility, with a 10X depth. Sequencing was funded by the H2020 IMAGE project, grant # 677353. Analysis of results are submitted for publication by Bortoluzzi et al. This project belongs to the data source 'IMAGE_CRB-Anim'.
