European_Reference_Genome_Atlas_Pilot

The Tree of Life programme is happy to support sequencing of species from Europe as part of a proof-of-concept, pump-priming project to show ERGA collective's ability and enthusiasm to work together to generate reference genomes for key species of interest. For each species, we will perform primary nuclear and organellar assembly, scaffold with Hi-C , and curate each assembly to approach chromosomal contiguity, using the high-throughput pipelines established for our Darwin Tree of Life Project. We will submit the raw and assembled data to ENA on open release and colleagues at Ensembl.
