We designed a living-synthetic therapeutic coating that is formed in situ on mucosal surfaces. This coat-ing works by synergistically regulating the physical-chemical barrier, microbial barrier, and immune barrier of the mucosa to restore the mucosal barrier function, thereby achieving therapeutic effects on mucosal inflammation.
