Reaction of [Ru2(μ-O2CRc)4(MeOH)2](PF6) (Rc
= ruthenocenyl) with 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane
(dppe) results in a “dimer disassembly” that produces
the bimetallic [Ru(η2-O2CRc)(dppe)2](PF6), whose structure has been confirmed by X-ray diffraction. The
electrochemical properties have been investigated using
cyclic and Osteryoung square-wave voltammetry.
