Evaluation of Anxiety and Depression Levels in Parents of Child With Hearing Loss

This study is aimed to compare the depression and anxiety levels between parents with children with hearing loss and parents with children with normal hearing. Within the scope of the study, the hearing loss (HL) group was formed from 60 parents with a child with hearing loss, and the normal hearing (NH) group was formed from 60 parents with a child with normal auditory development. Personal Information Form, Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI), and Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) were used as data collection tools. The groups were compared among themselves according to their scale scores. In addition, the correlations between the BAI and BDI scores of the individuals in the groups and their parenting attitude, the family's income level, and the parent's education level were examined.
