Databases for Bibliometric Analysis of diesel Production from lignocellulosic biomass

A bibliometric analysis was conducted to identify trends in research activity (published articles) and innovation potential (patent applications) on diesel production from lignocellulosic biomass. The Web of Science, Compendex, and Scopus databases were used to retrieve articles and Derwent Innovation was searched for patent documents. The data of interest were: the objectives of the articles/patents, the processes and technologies used, the journals, the countries of origin, the institutions involved, the authors and their affiliations, the author keywords, and the most cited articles.
