Global Ocean Surface Temperature Atlas Plus (GOSTAplus) - (1851-1995)

http://www.badc.rl.ac.uk/data/radiosonde/ Measurements of sea surface temperature (SST) and related parameters, climatologies and anomalies, Night Marine air temperature and Sea Ice coverage spanning the period 1851-1995. Dataset includes gridded, global SSTs from 1951-1990 and Sea Ice coverage from 1903 to 1994. The data areprovided by the UK Meteorological Office (UKMO). Updated version of some data also available on request.
