Compared the Fourier amplitude spectra of the observed and simulated time series (Figure 4) at these stations from the 13 May 1995 earthquake, similar spectral values were amplified within the effective frequency band of the simulation while rapidly decreasing for more than 7hz. The 5% damped normalized acceleration response spectra of the selected strong-motion recordings. The design spectrum for site classes A (Type 1) recommended in the EC8 was used to match the unscaled accelerograms.
