Leadership Styles, Social Distance, Turnover Intention, and Organizational Commitment in Public Hospitals: a Literature Review and Meta-Analytic Dataset
收藏资源简介:
Retention of healthcare personnel is a critical global challenge. Among the many factors influencing employee retention, leadership has been identified as a key organizational determinant. This dataset comprises data extracted from 54 studies representing 57 samples and 147 correlation effect sizes examining associations between leadership styles and employee retention-related outcomes among employees in public hospitals worldwide. The outcomes include turnover intention and organizational commitment. In addition to effect size data, the dataset contains a range of study-level, publication-level, and contextual variables that may help explain heterogeneity across findings, including the social distance implied by leadership styles, country-level power distance, CiteScore, and other methodological characteristics. The dataset is intended to support meta-analytic, meta-regression, and secondary research on leadership and workforce retention in public healthcare organizations.
