资源简介:
This study focused on investigating the impact of age and diet on the diversity and relative abundance of gut microbiota in captive Asian elephants in Northern part of Thailand by using the next-generation sequencing (NGS) technique. Through our research, we have identified important associations between these factors, shedding light on the intricate relationship between diet, age, and gut microbiota composition in captive Asian elephantThe findings of our study have practical implications for the management of captive elephants. Understanding how the gut microbiota is influenced by age and diet can help improve food management practices to enhance the development of beneficial bacteria at different life stages of elephants. As a result, this knowledge has the potential to contribute to the overall health and well-being of captive elephants, ultimately supporting their conservation and care.
