Reproducibility Package for a Retrieval-Aware Comparison of MAIAC Aerosol Optical Depth over Medan–Deli Serdang and the Lake Toba Region, Indonesia

This reproducibility package supports the manuscript “Retrieval-Aware Comparison of MAIAC Aerosol Optical Depth over Medan–Deli Serdang and the Lake Toba Region, Indonesia.” It contains frozen regional MAIAC, CHIRPS, and ERA5-Land extracts for 1 January 2019–31 December 2023; environmental domain descriptors; Google Earth Engine extraction scripts; downstream Python analysis; quality-control reports; checksum manifests; and publication figures. The package implements a complete 1,826-day calendar for two domains (3,652 date–domain rows per source family), strict MAIAC quality filtering, a fixed 50%-land-fraction denominator, a minimum 5% spatial-coverage eligibility rule, matched-date AOD contrasts, retrieval-availability modelling, leave-one-year-out validation, monthly rank and HAC analyses, precipitation-product agreement, and influence checks. Missing or ineligible MAIAC AOD values are not interpolated or imputed. The final clean reproduction passed 36 repository checks and all 13 downstream assertions. Code is licensed under MIT.
