UCSB Library Strategic Plan 2023–2026 key terms with word clouds

The <b>UCSB Library Strategic Plan</b> articulates context, vision, mission, and core values for a global leader in information &amp; library sciences. A total of four strategic priorities are proposed including advance open science, foster campus collaboration, strengthen stewardship and sustainability, and support student academic success.A word cloud is a data visualization tool for text or word terms by relative frequency. Increasing size denotes higher relative frequencies listed within a corpus of text.A word cloud of the plan is provided with a second visual of only the terms associated with the priority 'advance open science'.The R packages 'tidytext' and 'wordcloud' were used to generate these visualizations.<br>The data are also provided (scraped from the pdf of plan) and categorized into sections. The context row includes the introduction, vision, mission, and values. Then, each of the four priorities are coded as individual rows or observations.<br>
