资源简介:
This dataset contains the seismic data collected on 21st November 2018 at the Corona volcano area (Lanzarote, Canary Islands, Figs. 1, 2) as part of the PANGAEA-X 2017 European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut training campaign (Bessone et al., 2018; Lauterbach et al., 2019; Torrese et al., 2020; 2021), aimed at integrating training-data collection and analogue field geology procedures with remote sensing and geophysical methods in-situ. Single-station, free-field ambient seismic noise data were collected along an NNE-SSW oriented profile (Figs. 1, 2) approximately perpendicular to the presumed axis of the main Corona lava tube system. The profile (Profile E), consists of 34 measuring stations, approximately 7 m apart, with a total length of 233 m. Data were collected using a digital tromograph (Tromino® model ENGY). This is an ultralight integrated device, with a compact 3-directional, 24-bit digital seismometer (MoHo s.r.l., 1 dm3 volume and 1 kg weight), including sensors and the data acquisition system. The system works at frequencies down to 0.3 Hz. This seismograph is also equipped with three orthogonal electrodynamic sensors (velocimeters), and is powered by two 1.5 V AA batteries. It also has an internal GPS antenna and does not have any external cables. During all measurements the seismometer’s major axis was aligned with the magnetic North. Good ground coupling with the outcropping pyroclastic deposits was obtained using three, 6 cm-long metal spikes screwed into the base of the unit. The seismometer was levelled and then each seismic noise acquisition period involved a 4-minute trace length sampled at 1024 Hz (P1-P34). A MASW (Multichannel Analysis of Surface Waves) active seismic survey was also undertaken along the profile (Fig. 2). This survey was carried out using the same equipment, along with a wireless trigger (MoHo s.r.l.), a 5 kg hammer and heavy base plate for the generation of compressional source waves. The seismometer was fixed at station 31 while shot points were moved NNE at increasing distances with a 5 m minimum offset and 1 m spacing for 22 shots, and a total profile length of 27 m (Fig. 2). MASW acquisition involved a 3 s trace length at 512 Hz sampling rate (A31-27(27m)). The data are presented in ASCII format files. The records of each channel were saved all together in the same file. Information about each file was printed on the header of the same file. Acknowledgements The authors are grateful to ESA and all PANGAEA-X 2017 staff, particularly Loredana Bessone, Francesco Sauro, Riccardo Pozzobon, Dorit Borrmann, Helge Lauterbach and Igor Drozdovskiy and to MilesBeyond Team, particularly Francesco Maria Sauro for logistic support. We acknowledge Matthias Maurer and Herve Stevenin for their participation to data collection during some of the experiments. We also thank MoHo s.r.l., particularly Jeremy Magnon, for providing instrumental support.
