File List Numericfig3.txt Description Original numerical data for Fig. 3 in the main text: Yearly changes in the number of egg-masses (per 10 m2 of branch surface area) from 1952 to 1996 in each of the 18 blocks (Fig. 2) of New Brunswick, Canada. Missing data are marked with asterisks. The numbers up to 1984 are based on direct counts of egg-masses and, thereafter, are counts of second-instar larvae within hibernacula that are equalized with the egg-mass numbers by the formula in Appendix A.
