<b>Testing the gearbox hypothesis for insect flight control</b>
收藏资源简介:
This dataset comprises high-speed, multi-camera recordings of Musca domestica performing a left-turn manoeuvre in free flight. The recordings were acquired at 4000 frames per second, enabling detailed resolution of wing kinematics across multiple wingbeat cycles. The dataset was generated to investigate the role of the pleural wing process (PWP) in modulating wingbeat amplitude during turning. Raw recordings from multiple synchronized camera views are provided, allowing for three-dimensional reconstruction and kinematic analysis. The videos have been converted to MP4 format for ease of access and visualization, while preserving temporal resolution for analysis. In addition to the video data, the dataset includes MATLAB and Python scripts used for the extraction and analysis of wing kinematics, as well as for generating the figures presented in the associated study.
