Plant diversity in China's sponge city program

This dataset supports research on China's Sponge City Program (SCP) and its ecological impacts. It contains the following components: SCP Pilot Cities : A complete list of the 60 pilot and demonstration cities across the three batches (2021-2023)(Figure 2A) . Urban Expansion & SCP Targets: Data on the expansion of urban built-up areas and progress toward SCP targets from 2020 to 2030 (Figure 2B). Case Study - Wuxi: Observed plant diversity changes in a SCP catchment in Wuxi City (Figures 3-4). National Prediction: Predicted potential plant diversity due to SCP retrofitting at a national scale (Figure 7).
