Herschel OMC-1 data

This dataset provides the H$2$ column density map ($N{H_2}$) of the Orion Molecular Cloud 1 (OMC-1) region used in the study "Environmental Tides Regulate the Characteristic Width of Star-forming Fibers".The data were originally obtained from the Herschel Gould Belt Survey (HGBS) archive (Andre et al. 2010). The map was derived via spectral energy distribution (SED) fitting to the multi-wavelength dust continuum observations (160--500 $\mu$m) at a resolution of 36.3 arcsec. The dataset provided here has been cropped from the original large-scale survey map to specifically focus on the OMC-1 region analyzed in the associated paper.
