Temperature profile and other data were collected from the R/V ATLANTIC in a world-wide distribution from March 17, 1900 to March 8, 1996. Data were collected by using surface measurements casts. Data were submitted by International Council for Exploration of the Sea. Additional funding for digitizing historic data was provided by GODAR.
