Normalized cDNA library was constructed from mRNA that was extracted from various castes/developmental stages of Hodotermopsis sjostedti collected from Yaku-shima Island, Kagoshima, Japan. We employed 454 FLX Titanium system for sequencing the normalized cDNA library, assembled 454 reads with Newbler v2.5.3, and created a EST contig set.
