Projected Mean Seasonal Evaporation of Global Inland Waters (45°S–45°N)

This dataset provides mean seasonal evaporation estimates for global inland water bodies between 45°S and 45°N, simulated using the one-dimensional Lake, Ice, Snow, and Sediment Simulator (LISSS). Evaporation was forced with 3-hourly climate projections from two global climate models (GFDL-ESM2M and GISS-E2R) under the RCP8.5 scenario and computed for a baseline period (1986–2000) and a late-century period (2086–2100). Seasonal means and future changes are reported for tropical, arid, and temperate climate zones, focusing on open-water systems where evaporation is not dominated by persistent ice cover.
