Microbiome of Pacific Whiteleg shrimp reveals differential bacterial community composition between Wild, Aquacultured and AHPND/EMS outbreak conditions

We characterized the microbiota from the hepatopancreas and gut of wild and cultured whiteleg shrimp (Litopeneaus vannamei), and pond sediment from the hatchery using massive sequencing of seven hypervariable regions of the 16S rRNA gene. And also include the microbiota analysis of shrimps with AHPND/EMS disease symptoms. This study trys to understand the role that aquaculture has in shaping the natural shrimp microbiota and its responsibility in diseases under captivity
