Oxford Nanopore based RNA sequencing of BCP-ALL sample IN DARGAN

We propose to determine the feasibility of implementing low-cost Nanopore sequencing for classification of pediatric leukemias. The data analysis will be performed via cloud-based machine learning algorithms using a distributive testing model for leukemia diagnosis, for research use only. This work would potentially lead to future clinical implementation in low and middle income countries (LMICs) with the advantages of a rapid and cost-effective access to clinical genomic testing, without major investment of resources towards informatic analysis. Improved diagnostic accuracy will reduce costs of inappropriate and ineffective treatment and improve patient outcomes.
