Whole genome determination

With rapid development of bioinformatics, whole genome sequencing (WGS) technology allows for functional gene mining and metabolic product prediction of LAB, enabling systematic analysis of LAB functionalities through the integration of bioinformatics and experimental validation, and thereby promoting the identification of metabolites by LAB even at low yields. Briefly, WGS has the potential to facilitate comprehensive and rapid analysis of metabolites, clarifying the material basis underlying the functional roles of LAB.
