资源简介:
The drifting buoy data set in this accession was collected from TOGA Area - Pacific (30 N to 30 S) in Equatorial Pacific, North of Australia as part of Tropical Ocean Global Atmosphere and Coupled Ocean Atmosphere Response Experiment. Four Marisonde drifters with thermistors strings to 150 m. maximum, using Argos for location and data collection, were released during the TOGA COARE Intensive Observing Period: 1) Marisonde GT 14416: Deployment 8 Dec 92. Although most of its measurements failed in the beginning of January 1993, it continued to drift until the end of July 1993. 2) Marisonde GT 14414: Deployment 9 Dec 92. It ceased to emit in February (93/02/22) for unknown reasons but data were correct up to that date. 3) Marisonde GT 14415: Deployment 27 Jan 93. Sea temperature measurements failed when deployed. The buoy provided reliable atmospheric data (Air pressure and wind) until mid-May 1993 and ceased to emit in mid-September. 4) Marisonde GT 15500: Deployment 27 Jan 93. Wind direction measuremements failed when deployed. The other measurements were correct. Buoy was picked-up by a ship in February (93/02/19). The data was collected over a period spanning from December 8, 1992 to July 19, 1993 and submitted by Pierre Blouch, Centre National de Recherches Meteorologiques of Centre de Meteorologie Marine, c/o IFREMER. Data was received by NODC via internet through Harry Iredale.
