The Drosophila grimshawi genome was sequenced to 8-fold coverage by Agencourt Bioscience Corporation. The Drosophila grimshawi whole genome shotgun (WGS) project has the project accession AAPT00000000. This version of the project (01) has the accession number AAPT01000000, and consists of sequences AAPT01000001-AAPT01024168. Multiple assemblies of the D. grimshawi genome have been made and a list can be found here. These alternate assemblies were combined and reconciled into the official (CAF1) assembly (AAPT00000000). The assembly was annotated using several automated gene prediction programs, and the results were combined into a consensus GLEAN set (Drosophila 12 Genomes Consortium 2007).
