赤道北部非洲与萨赫勒地区NPP-VIIRS年际夜光遥感数据集（2013-2020）

该数据集包含2013年至2020年间逐年赤道北部非洲与萨赫勒地区NPP-VIIRS夜光数据影像。基于国家极地轨道(National Polar-orbiting Partnership, NPP) 卫星可见光近红外成像辐射计 (Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite, VIIRS)月平均夜光影像数据，将生物量燃烧引起的不稳定夜间灯光从人类活动引起的稳定夜光信息中分离后，合成得到逐年赤道北部非洲与萨赫勒地区NPP-VIIRS夜光遥感数据。数据空间分辨率为500 m，栅格数据类型为Geotiff。栅格像元值为辐亮度，单位为10−9 W∙cm−2∙sr−1。该数据集在一定程度上提高了夜光影像在赤道北部非洲与萨赫勒地区对小规模的、零散分布的、电力供应不稳定的城镇信息识别能力，可进一步应用于赤道北部非洲与萨赫勒地区的人类活动相关研究。This dataset contains annual NPP-VIIRS nighttime light remote sensing images of Northern Equatorial Africa and the Sahel region from 2013 to 2020. Based on the monthly average nighttime light image data collected by the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) onboard the National Polar-orbiting Partnership (NPP) satellite, unstable nighttime lights caused by biomass burning were separated from stable nighttime light signals induced by human activities, and the annual remote sensing datasets of Northern Equatorial Africa and the Sahel region were synthesized. The data has a spatial resolution of 500 m and is stored in the Geotiff raster format. The raster pixel values represent radiance, with the unit of 10⁻⁹ W·cm⁻²·sr⁻¹. This dataset has, to a certain extent, improved the capability of nighttime light imagery to identify small-scale, scattered urban settlements with unstable power supply in Northern Equatorial Africa and the Sahel region, and can be further applied to human activity-related research in these regions.
