资源简介:
The Crisis Monitor has been conducted regularly by the opinion research institute forsa on behalf of the Press and Information Office of the Federal Government since calendar week 1/2023. The Crisis Monitor is the continuation of the representative population surveys conducted regularly by forsa from calendar week 13/2022 to 50/2022 on the topic of Germany and the war in Ukraine. The individual question areas were adjusted depending on the survey period. In the survey period from 17.06.2024 to 19.06.2024, the German-speaking resident population aged 14 and over was surveyed in telephone interviews (CATI). Respondents were selected using a multi-stage random sample.<br>Developments in Germany that personally cause the most concern; assessment of tolerance towards other political opinions in general and towards the Middle East conflict; Germany´s responsibility towards Israel: Germany should stand up for the existence and security of Israel due to its history vs. is not Germany´s responsibility; assessment of Israel´s military response to the terrorist attacks by Hamas in October 2023 (appropriate, goes too far, does not go far enough); preferred behavior of the German government towards the Israeli government with regard to the military action in Gaza (criticize more publicly, exert diplomatic influence especially behind the scenes in direct contact, generally rather restrained); the German government should advocate a two-state solution in the Middle East conflict vs. should not do so at present; concerns about the current conflict between Israel and Hamas (about the people taken hostage by the terrorist organization Hamas, about the Palestinian civilian population, about the conflict spreading to neighbouring countries in the region, about the Israeli civilian population, about the impact of the conflict on Germany, about the impact of the conflict on the respondent personally); responsibility for the current situation of the Palestinian civilian population (terrorist organization Hamas or Israel). Demography: sex; age (grouped); employment; education; party preference in the next federal election; voting behavior in the last federal election; income situation low, medium, high (net equivalent income). Additionally coded were: West/East region; federal state; weighting factor.
