资源简介:
Acute diarrhea represents the most common gastroenterological disorder. According to the World Health Organization and UNICEF, there are about two billion cases of diarrheal disease worldwide every year, and 1.9 million children younger than 5 years of age perish from diarrhea each year, mostly in developing countries. Of all child deaths from diarrhea, 78% occur in the African and South-East Asian regions. Acute diarrhea can be caused by a variety of pathogens, including bacteria, parasites, and viruses. These pathogens can lead to severe dehydration and other complications, especially in children under 5 years old, making prompt and effective treatment critical. To better understand and manage this condition, a comprehensive database has been established. This database provides detailed data on the epidemiological factors, clinical presentations, and aetiological agents associated with acute diarrhea in hospitalized children under 5 years old. By analyzing these data, healthcare professionals can identify patterns and risk factors, improve diagnostic accuracy, and develop targeted treatment strategies."
