Seasonal differentiation of ammonia oxidizers in the rhizosphere of wheat soils

Nitrification plays a significant role in soil nitrogen cycling, a process in which the first step can be catalyzed by ammonia-oxidizing archaea (AOA) and ammonia-oxidizing bacteria (AOB). Which were essential for crop yield in farmland and ecological health of soil. In this study, the niche differentiation of AOA and AOB and their nitrification rates, abundance, and diversity were analyzed in rhizosphere of wheat soils in growing season from Xinxiang, Henan Province, China.
