72 to 94% Relative Density Cyclic Simple Shear Tests under Modulated Sine Loadings

4-inch diameter and 1-inch height Nevada sand specimen was reconstituted by wet pluviation. Specimens were back and consolidated to an effective vertical stress of 100 kPa. A total of 10 modulated sine loading histories were scaled and applied. The test terminated after the entire ground motion history was applied or a single amplitude shear strain of 15% was achieved.
