However, less than 50% of the energy in low qualityforages is digestible by cattle & large amounts of cereal grains are fedto cattle to achieve growth efficiency. Development of efficienttechnologies to enhance the conversion of low quality forage fiber intoenergy within rumen is vital for sustainable dairy & beefproduction.
