Finite Element Modeling of Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) Panels for In-plane Bending Applications

This study provides a comparative analysis of two techniques for modeling cross-laminated timber (CLT) under in-plane loading. The results give insight into the behaviors of a CLT panel when compared with an isotropic panel under identical loading conditions. The data from this project can serve as a foundation for future methods of modeling CLT. This work is beneficial to researchers who are interested in learning about in-plane bending properties of CLT.
