RAMÛ: Records of Ancient Migration- locating the relocated under empire

This is the underlying data used in the first installation of "RAMÛ: Records of Ancient Migration- Locating the Relocated under Empire," as presented at the Rencontre Assyriologique International in July 2024, Helsinki, and used by the relational database of the same name: https://heurist.huma-num.fr/heurist/?db=helsinki_ramu&website&id=65&pageid=59 The database was created from the text versions of the Royal Inscriptions of Neo-Assyria project (RINAP), Royal Inscriptions of Mesopotamia: Assyria (RIMA), the State Archives of Assyria (SAA), and the online ORACC subprojects: RIBo (the Royal Inscriptions of Babylonia online) and the now-defunct CTIJ (Cuneiform Texts of Israelites and Judeans). Additionally, the Yahudu archive publications (CUSAS 28 and BaAr 6) and a smattering of the Murašu Archive are also included. Use of the automated ORACC dataset from 2021 (per KORP's ORACC data: Sahala, A., T. Alstola, & H. Jauhiainen. Open Richly Annotated Cuneiform Corpus, Korp Version, June 2021 [data set]. Kielipankki. http://urn.fi/urn:nbn:fi:lb-2022031705). While reliant upon previously published text corpora, this dataset was created via manual search processes guided by keywords identified and cited from the ORACC 2021 data from KORP rather than by automated process. As such, early versions of the database hold a lower confidence rating than later versions. Each line represents a different imperially coerced migration event as recorded in the textual sources, including original location, final destination, ethnic / people group, and Akkadian terms noted in the passage, among other information. All events are cited with a URL to the appropriate text location in the relevant ORACC subprojects.
