Transcriptomic profiling of lung tissues from a rat model of acute respiratory distress syndrome and vagus nerve stimulation

This dataset contains bulk RNA-sequencing profiles generated from lung tissues of Sprague–Dawley rats subjected to cecal ligation and puncture (CLP)-induced acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), with or without right cervical vagus nerve stimulation (VNS). Overall design: Four experimental groups were included (n=5 per group): (1) Sham control, receiving midline laparotomy with gentle cecum manipulation but no ligation or puncture; (2) ARDS, induced by CLP; (3) Sham + VNS, sham-operated rats receiving right cervical VNS; (4) ARDS + VNS, CLP-induced ARDS rats receiving right cervical VNS.
