This data set contains one channel from distributed acoustic sensing data collected in 2025 and shared as part of the SUBMERSE EU project. It contains raw time-differentiated time data as recorded by an OptoDAS interrogator through a dark fiber in a submarine telecommunication cable. The cable is trenched into soft semdiment 0-2 m below the seafloor. The length of the fiber interrogated varies over the acquistion period. The data contains a continous data stream from one channel with some breaks due to unforseen events (like power outages). This data set has no exact positioning data of the fiber optic cable becase they are proprietary to SIKT. However, there are rough positions abailable on https://www.norgeskart.no/ using the 'Nautic Charts Overview' basemap.
