This repository contains supplementary data and model-derivation files associated with the manuscript “The energy cost of walking is sensitive to speed but not gravity; for running it’s the other way around: model and experiment” by A. Ruina, R. T. Schroeder, and J. E. A. Bertram. The repository includes MATLAB and LaTeX source files for the mathematical model derivations, empirical cost-of-transport and step-length data underlying Fig. 3, and raw metabolic data for the eight participants in Study 1. These files correspond to the model derivations and Tables S1–S10 presented in the Supplementary Information.
