## **Abstract** \n\nThis data and its metadata statement were supplied to the Bioregional Assessment Programme by a third party and are represented here as originally supplied.\n\n\n\nFisheries oriented inventory that consists of tabular information and an atlas of estuarine wetlands describing 133 estuaries and embayments along the NSW (Australia) coast. (VIS_ID 2224; ANZLIC: ANZNS0364000065)\n\n## **Dataset History** \n\nThis data and its metadata statement were supplied to the Bioregional Assessment Programme by a third party and are represented here as originally supplied.\n\n\n\nLineage: Aerial photographs from the late 1970's and early 1980's of varying scales were used to map mangrove, saltmarsh and seagrass in 133 estuaries along the NSW coast. Vegetation boundaries drawn onto photographs were checked by field surveys undertaken from 1981-1984. The information was then transferred onto base maps produced from CMA 1:25 000 topographic maps using a zoom transferscope. Water area and the area of each vegetation type calculated using the dot grid methods.
