Translation and Cultural Adaptation of Multiple Psychometric Instruments Following ITC Guidelines French Adaptation of the Believe Battery: Cognitive Assessment in the Context of Intimate Partner Violence

This report describes the translation and cultural adaptation of the Believe Battery, a computerized suite of cognitive tests designed to assess the neuropsychological impact of intimate partner violence (IPV). The process followed the International Test Commission Guidelines for Translating and Adapting Tests (2017), ensuring linguistic, cultural, and psychometric equivalence. Conducted by researchers with expertise in IPV and cognitive assessment, the adaptation aims to provide reliable and accessible tools for French-speaking populations. By offering an open-access and culturally valid battery, this work supports accurate assessment of IPV-related cognitive sequelae, facilitates early detection and intervention, and advances research and clinical practice in underserved contexts.
