Auroral bead events, tracked bead measurements and analysis code for "A Statistical Comparison of Auroral Beads Associated with Substorm Onsets and Non-Substorm Events"

216 auroral bead events identified in THEMIS all-sky imager data from 2007 to 2016. The archive holds the frame-by-frame measurements of three tracked beads per event (positions, brightness, wavelengths and speeds at 3 s cadence), the event-level table (onset location and time, growth rates, speeds, wavelengths, periods, SML response, IMF Bz), the event catalog with event type (substorm, pseudobreakup, PBI) and streamer scores, and Data Set S1 of the paper. It also holds the Python code that computes the paper's statistics, Tables 1-2, Data Set S1 and statistical figures. code/reproduce.py rebuilds these from the archive and checks them against the published values. SuperMAG and THEMIS image data are not redistributed; see README.md.
