资源简介:
The cost for disposing food waste can be high. If the composting process can be completed at home, the cost of food waste disposal can be greatly reduced. The research on the characterization of microbial community and functional strains from household food waste compost, the primary community structure and functional lay the foundation for realizing efficient composting of food waste in households in the future.Strains isolated from domestic food waste compost samples are cultured. Then, dominate strains are identified through genetic sequencing, while functional strains are identified through consulting previous researches. Qualitative analysis is performed to confirm the degrading capability of functional strains, before quantitative analysis of these strains is performed through measuring certain enzyme activities.Through genetic sequencing of strains from the composting sample, dominate and functional strains are identified. The degrading capabilities of functional strains are confirmed. Moreover, their degrading capabilities are further characterized through quantitative analysis of measuring enzyme activity. Functional and dominate strains isolated from the household food waste composting process can be used to identify strains with high degrading potentials of organic matter, and as a result increase efficiency in composting. This will contribute to achieving efficient composting in the household environment.
