Transcriptome analysis on different sub-populations of hemocytes of kuruma shrimp Marsupenaeus japonicus. Penaeus japonicus

Characteristics of kuruma shrimp hemocytes population have not yet been well characterized. In this study, we separated the hemocytes by discontinuous gradient centrifugation and the fractionated cells were characterized by staining and flow cytometry analysis. The cells separated were further characterized by comprehensive transcriptomic analysis using MiSeq.
