Analysis of the distribution of mixed-species infections within children and adults from the 3 transmission regions.

Two types of analysis were carried out using the Multiple-kind Lottery Model [29]: all Plasmodium species (P. falciparum, P. malariae and P. ovale) and P. falciparum and P. malariae only. ROE Mixed, ROE Negative or ROE Pm (95% CI) is the ratio of observed/expected infections that deviated from expected values and is a measure of the magnitude of deviation from randomness. P values less than 0.05 are in bold.
