Digital Archive from an Archaeological Excavation at Rugby Radio Station Link Road, Central Primary School and Green Corridors, Rugby, Warwickshire, 2017 and 2019

This collection consists of images, spreadsheets, databases and GIS data from a programme of archaeological investigation by Cotswold Archaeology. Work occurred at the Rugby Radio Station Link Road North and Central Primary School and Green Corridors sites, in April to August 2017 and September 2019. The earliest evidence for human activity was represented by several Mesolithic pits one of which was found to contain an assemblage of worked flints. Iron Age and Roman activity was found in most of the excavation areas and largely comprised enclosures of an agricultural nature. At least two circular structures of Middle Iron Age date were identified Early to Middle Anglo-Saxon settlement evidence was identified and comprised at least two sunken featured buildings.
