Country Risk

The Country Risk dataset, originated from IHS Markit, offers extensive historic and forecast data providing clients with a 360-degree perspective on Country Risks, ESG, Banking Sector Risk and News events related to political violence and political risk incidents.

This dataset includes:

- Country level risk ratings for 211 countries covering the full spectrum of geopolitical, security, economic, banking and investment risks. The scores provide a 12 month forward looking risk score with a directional outlook up to 3 years.
- The ESG risk scores system comprises 44 discrete factors that encompass the full spectrum of risks encountered by operators, covering sovereign-level Environmental, Social and Governance components of ESG. The scores represent IHS Markit's forecast for these risks over the coming 12 months.
- The Banking sector dataset includes high-quality, monthly updated data sourced from central banks, banking sector regulators and international organizations. Historical balance sheet, income statement, financial soundness indicators, and financial sector structure data for over 100 countries.
- The Events database contains daily updated Intelligence Events (IEs) documenting the occurrence of political violence and political risk incidents. The events are systematically collected, and carefully structured data calibrated by formal intelligence collection requirements and are fully integrated into our wider intelligence processes and products.
