RNA sequencing of KYSE150 cells treated with or without 125I seed radiation and carfilzomib

Iodine-125 (125I) seed brachytherapy has been applied to treat various malignant tumors such as esophageal cancer, however, radioresistance can reduce its efficacy. we show that combination therapy of an irreversible proteasome inhibitor carfilzomib (CFZ) and 125I seed radiation displayed a strong anti-tumor effect on esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. To gain some insights into the molecular mechanisms by which the combination therapy inhibited cell proliferation and promoted cell death, we conducted RNA sequencing analysis on KYSE150 cells treated with or without the combination therapy.
